  • I will not be going to China.  If you recall, when the Cubs were going to the playoffs, my godmother needed a backup travel companion because if they Cubs won, he was not going to miss the World Series.  Well, they lost.  So, he is going to China, which means I am not.  I’m actually not that sad about it.  (From China Here I Come! Maybe )
  • My car is still falling apart.  The windows will not get fixed for some time.  It’s annoying, but not that big of a deal.  The turn signals have a mind of their own.  Sometimes, they work, sometimes they don’t.  It seems that after the car has sat for a while, they work great, but after driving for more than 10 minutes, they go wonky.  Who knows?  I am a bit concerned about getting pulled over.  I can’t use my signals.  I cannot use hand signals because I cannot roll the windows down.  *Sigh*  Eventually, I will get it fixed.  (From Held Together With Tape & Dirt )
  • I made my appointment for my biopsy.  Actually, I found out that I might not need the surgery, whether I did not understand or was not told, I don’t know.  They will do the ductogram injecting the dye into my nipple and take a mammogram of it.  If they don’t see any obstruction, then I don’t need the biopsy and can go home.  If they do see something, then I will go immediately to the operating room and have the biopsy.  It is a bit of a relief to know that I may not actually have to have surgery after all.  I’m aware that it is still a possibility, but knowing that it’s not 100% makes me feel less nervous.  The procedures are scheduled for October 28th at 8:00.  It will take 2 hours for the first portion with everything included.  If I need the biopsy, that will take 45 minutes, plus time for recovery.  Overall, I should only be there for about 4 hours.  I will let you know how it goes.  (From Breast Cancer Awareness Month - I Got Squished)

Sorry about China and good luck with your surgery. I will send up a prayer for you.

I had some fibroids removed last year and I was brave until I spoke my mom on the phone and had a mini melt down. She stayed on the phone with me until I stopped crying and then my friend took me to the hospital.

I am not sure about the hair removal thing…sounds scary! I use Nair.

Sorry about China, but maybe I’m not, since you didn’t really want to go anyway! I do not fly! So, I can’t imagine going to China. (scared of heights!)

My windows don’t roll down either…well, they do, they just don’t roll up! Last year, when I was running a conference in VA, the valet must have slammed the door too hard? Because the window was fine and when I left that Sunday and got down the road some, the window wouldn’t go up after I rolled it down! Now, every time I hit a bump the window falls down if I don’t hold my hand on it and when I do hold my hand on it, people think I am waving to them, so they wave to me, but then I can’t wave back because I am holding up the window! We have a whole proceedure for getting it back up that involves my 12 yr old on the outside and me on the inside. Problem with that is, all the pushing and pulling has messed up the tint on the window, so now I can’t see clearly out of it! UGGG!

I will pray about your surgery. Oct 28th is my birthday, so I will not forget it! I promise! Please let us know how you are doing afterwards!

Nair doesn’t work for me. Veet does, though. Both stink…literally.

Yeah, I would like to go to China, but I wasn’t looking forward to the day long flight. And I’d prefer to go with friends I know I could handle for that long.

It may be the motor, Kristy. That’s my issue. I have a Grand Am and they say that is typical for the type of motor they used for those windows. It’s just sudden. It is annoying. Mine don’t roll down at all though, they just fall.

    Thanks for they prayers, ladies!
