Happy 2009

Published by Kelly at 7:55 pm under personal Edit This

Happy New Year!

I can’t believe it is 2009.  I graduated college in 2000 and I remember how shocking it was to be out of the 1900’s.  It still feels weird.

Last night, I was going to go to a friend’s house for a small party.  I had the stuff out to make 2 appetizers, but I ended up not going.  I got some stomach bug.

It is whatever it was my brother-in-law had at Christmas.  I had been feeling off for a few days, but couldn’t put my finger on it.  Then I woke up and realized what the problem was and it worsened throughout the day.

I was actually in bed nearly asleep when the New Year rang in.  Not exactly exciting or the way I had intended to start the new year, but that’s ok.  Life is all about curve balls, right?

What about you?  What did you do to ring in 2009?

Kelly, Happy New Year! I hope you’re feeling better. There aren’t any new posts from you, so I’m getting worried.

My family and I just sat around at home and watched movies. It was very relaxing. We had a couple over for dinner the next day. That was nice too.

Spent my New Year at home, just watching cartoons with my boyfriend. I’d thought my group was getting together this year, but the others didn’t, and started making plans… so that left us. Such a pity.

    Take care of yourself!

Sorry to hear you weren’t feeling well and of course Happy belated NEW YEAR. I hope your year will be filled with health, wealth, happiness and love!

I spend my New Years Eve the same way I have spend it ever since I had kids. At home and sleeping by about 11 pm. Not very exciting!

We suffered from a stomach bug here too—first my daughter, then my son (which meant mommy got 2 surprises during the night—one in the morning of his particular day and one that next night), then me, then finally my husband. At least we got over it though! :-)

I had an early New Year’s Eve celebration, that by 10pm I was too drunk that I fell asleep on the couch. So I didn’t even go out to see the fireworks. Hehehe!

Happy New Years to you :D
