Forgive Me Bloggers

Published by Kelly at 12:12 pm under personal Edit This

for I have sinned. It has been 8 days since I last posted.

I have gotten so many messages and emails of concern because of my absence. I am so grateful for all of you and your concern. It means so much to me, you have no idea.

I’m ok. I was sick for a couple of days and depressed for a few more. Starting the year off jobless, broke, sick and pms’ing makes for mental and emotional barriers and roadblocks.

I’m okay now.

My laptop, on the other hand, is dead. She died over a week ago. I am waiting on a new battery and am hopeful that it will be resurrected. I hope that is all it is. Fingers crossed. I won’t get that battery for probably another week, though.

In the meantime, my only computer access is my ancient desktop that is as slow as the Slowsky’s and it’s DSL!

It takes 4 hours to do what I normally would do in 1 hour. In fact, every time I click on something, I can hear the tiny little man that lives in there move to open the creaking windows.

Typing this post is taking me much longer than needed, but hitting backspace to clear a typo goes way too far back and I have to type things over. It’s crazy.

I have posts written and photos for other posts all on my laptop and it is making me nuts not to be able to access it.

I’m having withdrawal. I have my daily routine on-line, including job-hunting, but it’s a no-go right now. It takes much too long and it is so uncomfortable. I have to sit on a hard metal folding chair at a makeshift desk and sit sideways because it is not a real desk and there is nowhere to put my 45 inches of legs.

At least I am getting other stuff done instead.

Thank you again for all your concern. I will try to post more frequently. I miss you all!

It’s impossible to move back after you’ve tasted broadband. Unless you’re a Slowsky.

Eight days of not posting is not really that too long. At least in my opinion.

I think there is nothing more frustrating than a good blogger with an old machine and a sluggish internet connection.

    :)

Oh, not a good start to the new year! I hope you get your laptop up and running again very soon! My lappie is on its last legs and I just hope it holds out for a little while longer. My dh said his work may let him buy his laptop for a nominal cost and that would be great, it’s not new, but it certainly is better than this crappy one I have ;)

    Take care!

    I know what you mean.

We switched our ISP and had technical problems along the way. We were offline for a week, and we need the Internet for her job and my business.

It was frustrating, to say the least.

It’s a hard situation when we can’t go online since it was our daily habits. Glad to see that you’ve solved your problem. Nice bloggers community here and I’d love to join.
